Steve Cook 
Steve is from Pendleton, OR, where his love for music began.  He retired recently from his 35 year career as an engineer for CH2mHill.  5 years ago while preparing for retirement he joined the New Horizons Big Band (Tualatin, OR) where he is a featured vocalist and trumpet player.  


Ken Willeford

After raising a family and selling his dental practice several years ago, Ken became very active in the Portland/Salem Jazz scene returning to his first love – singing big band style jazz.  He confesses to Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra influences in his stylings.  As a 19 year old he was hooked after singing with Leroy Anderson Big Band at the then famous Hoyt Hotel in 1971. 

Ron Swanson
While raising his family Ron used his Business Marketing degree but kept up his Music Minor saxophone skills.  4 years prior to retirement Ron joined the New Horizons Big Band playing baritone sax.  In 2016 Ron joined the sister band, Hollywood New Horizons Big Band,  as a vocalist and his dream of singing with a big band began..

Brad Davis, the leader of the Kansas City Rhythm Kings, 
is a phenomenon in today’s Portland music scene. With 45 years of professional experience, his credits include extensive touring and high profile performances with artists as Lee Castle (Jimmy Dorsey Band), Norman Lee, Eddy Howard, Al Pierson, Roberto Griego to name a few. Brad played lead trumpet and traveled all over the world with the US Army bands. He also played freelance trumpet in Las Vegas for two years, one of those years was spent as a member of the Sahara Hotel house band where he played with the who's who of big show room acts and entertainers. Since moving to Portland/Vancouver in 1998 Brad's trumpet skills and band leader skills have been in demand.


Brad's 9 piece big band will backup these 3 versatile and popular singers for one night performance of Big Band Jazz.
